I went to a few dealerships in Johannesburg to enquire about buying a new car, I was offered test drives., I finally went with the dealership that offered the best deal. I paid my deposit and waited for my new car to arrive which I was told would take a few months. 6 months down the line, I still didn’t get any feedback from the dealership so I decided to personally go pay them a visit.
I was not a happy customer and I made it known. After some back and forth and more promises which I disagreed with, all of a sudden, I was told my vehicle was ready which surprised me, anyways I didn’t argue any further because my car was ready.
Since receiving my "Brand New" car I`ve had endless problems with it. My car has been sitting at the dealership mostly than me driving it. I`ve bought many other cars before but never with these kind of problems so I decided to do some investigating of my own. I was in shock when I found out that the vehicle was in an accident in the dealership yard, the driver and salesman covered up the whole thing by quickly getting it fixed before it was licensed and registered on my name.
Luckily my wife is an Attorney, so they`ve agreed to give me another car.
The moral of my story is, trust your instincts when something doesn’t seem right.
