"I bought a second hand VW Polo from a so-called reputable dealership in Johannesburg that had "no history of accidents" from a used car lot. On inspection and test drive, the car was great but then, after buying it, driving on my way home, the car started leaking fluid, jerking and the engine smoking, so I took it back to a dealership for repairs.

They told me that I was in an accident with the car and I tried to cover it up. The lights were cracked and the front bumper had been replaced, the radiator was damaged, the chassis was bent, plus other evidence that the car had been in a crash. They also accused me of driving the car without any coolant, causing it to overheat and damage the engine. All of this was done within a few hours of me receiving the car.

Since all these problems were caused by “My Accident”, they refused to assist me and told me to leave their premises. My only option is to challenge them Legally which I did not budget for. This was definitely an eye opener for me and I will be way smarter and cautious when buying another car. Currently, I`m taking the bus to work and my nice car is parked at home.
